What is the UBT Academy?

The UBT Academy is a community-driven initiative designed to educate and empower customers, leaders, workers, and students in Tuskegee and beyond. Through this program, you'll gain an in-depth understanding of UBT's operations, processes, and the critical work our employees do every day to provide reliable electricity, clean water, and efficient wastewater services to our community.

This isn't just a learning experience-it's an opportunity to see firsthand how UBT serves as a beacon of progress in Macon County, a partner for the City of Tuskegee, and a catalyst for economic development.

What Can You Expect

The UBT Academy is a 6-week program packed with engaging classroom-style learning, interactive field trips, and opportunities to connect with UBT's key employees. Here's what's in store:

Sessions Covering Key Topics:
From governance and electric services to water treatment, wastewater systems, and utility rates, you'll explore every facet of UBT's operations.
Hands-On Learning:
Tour UBT's facilities, including substations, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants.
Expert Insights:
Interact with UBT's team of professionals who keep our community running smoothly.
Take-Home Resources:
Each participant will receive a binder to store documents and materials from each session.
Graduation Ceremony:
Celebrate your achievements with a special graduation reception at the end of the program!
